One of our families favorite parks in Lancaster. With the petting zoo, multiple smaller playgrounds, the fun fort, and lake with island, the kids always have a great time.
This is a fun place for the entire family. Great for cookouts and get togethers.
Clean bit of green space near busy Rte. 30. A small lake good for watching Canada geese. If the winter it's cold enough, some people put on ice skates & venture out on it. Nice pavilions for parties. Ball fields, a great dream park for kiddies. Concert shell for summer music series. The Sertoma Chicken BBQ is held the 3rd Saturday in May every year from 10am-6pm. In the Guiness Book of Records as the world's largest chicken barbecue.
I have loved this park since I was a little girl and all the many years in between. It's a good place to go for quiet contemplation (depending on what day it is). Have been to many big picnics in the pavilions and smaller ones at picnic tables. It's a great place to walk with friends or alone. The "duck pond" is an added bonus with a variety of ducks and very large goldfish and an occasional heron. But Please don't feed the water fowl! And there's the Amphitheater with Free shows during the summer months!
A very nice park with fun a fun summer music program. This park makes for a very pleasant walk, dog friendly and good for children. Very scenic, always clean and ample parking.
