HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY TALK TO YOU DISRESPECTFULLY EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE A CUSTOMER! IF THEY DIDN'T HAVE A MONOPOLY ON THIS SERVICE IN LANCASTER CITY, THEY WOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS FOR SURE!
My company has been ordering from these folks for years, through one of our former employees. When they left, so did us using Carry Out courier. However, we've begun using them again and I'm very impressed by their drivers, and service. We will continue using these folks! Beats getting out and doing it ourselves, finding parking, waiting in line, etc... These folks got it.
There's no reason for that. I can absolutely understand forcing a tip on a large order, say over $100 or something to make sure your driver isn't shafted. But there's no excuse for this. The only reason I can see to force 15% gratuity across the board is if your drivers are unhappy with their wages. And if that's the case, maybe you should rethink your business model and pay them better. Instead, you charge a $5 delivery fee AND force people to tip your drivers 15% of their order amount on top of that.
We won't be ordering from you again until you do away with mandatory tip amounts. Not because I don't think your drivers deserve a decent tip, I always saw to it that they got one. It's because that's a shady business practice to force your customers to pay your drivers wages for you because you're too cheap to do it yourself.
We've been ordering from this company for months since moving back to Lancaster. The service has been great and I always make sure to leave the driver at least a 10% tip, but we went to order tonight and lo and behold they now force a minimum 15% tip on all orders.
Excellent and fast ordering from the website. Couriers always courteous and pleasant. I don't agree with any of the bad reviews I read so I don't regard them as significant. The advantage to ordering via the web is that you reduce errors in your order (i.e. over voice calls which are complicated in a variety of ways).
My boyfriend and I love Carryout Courier. This past weekend, we ordered lunch and supper from them! Food is always hot when we receive it. When I don't feel like cooking, we order from Carryout Courier . I wish they would expand their service area. We will be moving to Lititz / Manheim area next year and that's not in their service area. So until then, we will order from them! Crossing our fingers that they expand.
