I have hesitated for weeks to leave a poor review for this practice... It's really not my style. However, today i had the THIRD negative interaction with this office and I feel like others need to know about these experiences. I have suffered a few miscarriages. Two of the doctors at Eichenlaub & May were completely insensitive and told me that "maybe I was pregnant for 30 seconds with the 2nd pregnancy and that it was a STUPID appointment." I can't make this up! My husband was there and heard it too! The doctor came in the room and told us two times that "This was a stupid appointment!" I was in tears and trying to ask questions and the doctor just cut me off and said "don't worry, I know women in their 40's having babies." (I am 35 years old).
I called the office to file a complaint with that doctor and they scheduled me for an appointment the next day with another doctor. That was also miserable! I could hear her outside of the room saying that she was too busy and that someone had double booked her! She spend maybe 3 minutes with me, it felt very rushed and I didn't get answers to my questions.
Wonderful, wonderful practice!! I worked very closely with Cheri Gard. She walked me through a very complicated pregnancy. She was supportive, caring, & encouraging - everything I needed. I cannot recommend this practice enough. Another bonus - since it's a small practice (two doctors, one midwife), you get to know everyone, which is very reassuring when you are in labor!!
I have finally found a new OBGYN with wonderful doctors who are kind, caring and compassionate! My new practice had reached out to Eichenlaub & May to get my records last week and never received a response after two requests for the records. I called Eichenlaub & May today and they told me that it usually takes two weeks to get the records. TWO WEEKS!!?? I have time sensitive tests to get done and I could miss that deadline this month to get the tests done because it is going to take TWO WEEKS to fax my files! The lady on the phone was so rude.
We love Dr. Ruszak! and everyone that has helped us at Eichenlaub and May. I am currently in my second trimester, and can't imagine going anywhere other than this practice. They are warm and friendly, yet very professional and clinical with their delivery of information. My visits have all been quick from start to finish, and I always leave looking forward to my next appointment.
They are great, specially Cheri Gard. She is knowledgeable, friendly, committed to her patients, in other words, she is awsome! This is my second child, and I had a bad experience at a bigger practice with my first, but my natural (no pain meds.) childbirth experience with Cheri was great!
Would NEVER reccomend this practice!! The doctor I delt with was very cold and rude. She also has a bad attitude problem. When trying to get an answer from her she said " Go look it up on Google" very unexcepectable for a so called professional doctor. Oh yeah, I forget shes really only a DO. Not an MD...The front desk people, are about the nicest people your ever going to meet. That's about it. If you want to get the best care, look someplace else!!!!!!!
I was charged for BOTH of those appointments!
If you have suffered from miscarriages or have any issues with fertility, I HIGHLY recommend that you do NOT go to Eichenlaub & May.
