If all that money was spent and she provided the help we desperately needed for my daughter and my family, I would not be writing this review. I would have paid that and more to get help. But, this therapist barely addressed the issues we came in for. She offered no coping strategies, behavior plans, or parenting skills for us to employ. We walked away from the experience with nothing meaningful.

If you are looking for structured direction, in play therapy, look elsewhere. At this office appointment times are often confused, no insight into a plan is given by the therapist, and parents are treated with severe passive aggression. My child's other parent chose this route, at his lawyers advice, and unfortunately Mrs. Mathias milked our custody case for all it was worth. My ex and I are doing great with co-parenting now, and our child is happy and settled now that we are no longer involved with this psychotic "therapist". She was very rude at appointments, constantly played cat and mouse games, not giving us actual answers or insight into our child's treatment or sessions. She dragged out "treatment" as long as she could, and when it was clear it was no longer beneficial to our child, she tried to force my ex and I to come for council with her. All the while she told us multiple times the next visit would be the last, then turn around and demand we schedule another. There seemed to be no end in sight. When my ex and I were on the same page, she purposely tried to stir up trouble, to put us at odds. Luckily we caught on, and hoping I can save others from the same messy headache we were put through.
She charged $75 a session for a mandatory number of sessions. (In our case, 5 play sessions with my 4-year-old daughter). Then she charged $85 for an initial consult, $85 for a family play session, and $85 for a "results" consultation. This is all before we get into therapeutic sessions. She gave me a set of CDs to listen to in order to learn "better parenting skills". When they weren't returned in a "timely fashion", she sent my account to collections and would not retract the balance even after the CDs were returned.
