Now here is what I don't understand. Apple is one of the most technologic companies in the world. they know their staffing. They know what customers are coming in for. Why on earth would they schedule a repair appointment if they are unable to do the repair in that amount of time? Stop having appointments two hours before closing if you can't accommodate customers.
I have gone to this location several times in the past years - driving well over an hour each way to go there. I've always been happy with the service but this most recent time I was extremely dissatisfied.
Arrived Monday AM just after opening and we were ignored by staff for over 20 minutes. Store was not busy. We were not looking for service on a product - we were interested in buying a new MacBook as a Christmas present. When we finally corned an associate to ask for help we were told that we would be put on a wait list and would not be able to talk to anyone for at least another 30 minutes. Plenty of employees standing around not working with customers. Eventually we left without being seen and will not be buying an Apple product. Question why Apple would make it so difficult to purchase product from their retail store.
My wife had a problem with her iPhone. It needed to be replaced, of course she had insurance. After much frustration with online services, we decided to come to the Apple Store. And there we found the help we needed. Great people. We were the last person on the list and the help stayed until the store closed and we were the last ones to leave at 10m. Problem solved, new phone. My wife was happy. Simply the Best. Highly recommend.
They fixed my phone with no copay! Happy day. I’ve always had a good experience here. If you are claustrophobic or hate crowds stay away. This place is ALWAYS packed. I think they do a fine job for as crazy as it is there.
I made an appointment at the genius bar for 445 on a Sunday evening. In the appointment, you state what you are coming in for. In my case it was screen repair. I get there and get checked in. I sit there for almost 30 minutes waiting for a technician. When they finally come to discuss the problem with me, I'm told that I would have to leave my phone and come back tomorrow. that is not possible. I work in a hospital and do not have weekdays off. I told them this and asked if they could allow me to replace the phone (like I have done in the past). I was told this would cost twice as much. No thanks - I'll go to another location to have the screen replaced.
Apple and this location have made maintenance of their products a nightmare. In a means to streamline costumer experience and cut operation costs, Apple has depersonalized and complicated consumer relations for worse. I love Apple products but i wonder how much longer I will use them after the extreme inconvenience associated with maintenance/repair. For example, It took two people and a 15 minute call for very simple information such as if a laptop part was in stock. This was after they insisted to get me in the store for what would have been for them to tell me the same thing and then require my laptop stay on site for 3-5 days for a battery replacement.
