Very clean, staff friendly. The room was a bit on the small side but it was up to date in the furnishings. The pool was nice. The breakfast was typical continental but I did enjoy the make your own Belgian waffles. Great place for visitors to the Lancaster area.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, the hot breakfast was very good (we brought our own butter and Maple Syrup for the waffles), and it was great that they let our dog stay with us (he couldn't be left alone and we had to make sure we didn't leave hair on the carpet, but this still helped us a lot). Also, the building itself was kept well, the beds were clean and comfortable, and the hot water worked well. There were two main negatives, but they were minor. Because we had a pet, our room had more of a hard floor and less of a carpet (this part was good because the hard floor was easier to keep free from dog hair). What was not good was that the hard floor was pretty dirty - We ended up buying some cleaning spray and paper towels and gave the hard floor a quick once over (it wouldn't have been a big deal if it we're just my wife and I, but our kids spend enough time on the floor that it was worth it). The second negative was that we had to ask for towels for our kids each night, but as I said above, the staff was very friendly and gave us whatever else needed. Overall, the price was also right, and there were some sacrifices we made as a result, but they were reasonable sacrifices. We will stay here again on our next trip to Lancaster. WARNING: There is another Red Roof Inn about a mile down the road called "Red Roof Inn Lancaster - Strasburg." It is much older, is not well kept, and has a creepy, sketchy feel to it. It might be a little cheaper for the night, but the sacrifices you make to stay there are not worth it (In our opinion). We were going to stay there, but the above issues coupled withbut the fresh reviews of bed bugs kept us away (Priceline only refunded half our money, but that is a different story). Do not mistake the two!
The staff at this inn from all levels where courteous and attentive without being over bearing with it. I recommend this red roof inn to anyone if your in the area. Signing off peace and love
Nice clean room. We picked up a coupon book at one of the rest stops, so only paid $53.99 + tax. Check in was quick and easy.
I have stayed at this Red Roof before and that is why I returned. It is clean, updated rooms, quiet guests, plenty of restaurants some within walking distance. It has an elevator and a pool. Very convenient to everything in the Lancaster area and beyond.
